Conflict is inevitable, disruptive, and expensive. For over two decades, I have successfully counseled my clients through conflicts and litigation by focusing on efficient, results-driven solutions and building a personal, collaborative relationship with each client I have the privilege to represent. When possible, I pursue an appropriate business resolution, while always being prepared to prevail through litigation when necessary.
Who I Am
I am an experienced trial attorney and trusted advisor with over two decades of experience guiding clients through employment, commercial, and regulatory matters. My litigation experience includes representing employers, employees, businesses of all sizes, healthcare providers, and shareholders in state and federal civil matters involving employment discrimination claims, restrictive covenants, commercial disputes, and disputes among business partners. Beyond litigation, I advise employers on employment matters, workplace investigations, and statutory compliance, and I hold a certificate from the Association of Workplace Investigators.
I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and my J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 2003, where I served on the Public Interest Law Journal and received the G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished Scholar Award, the Paul J. Liacos Scholar Award, the Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar Award, and the Dean's Award for Contracts. After law school, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable Martha B. Sosman of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.
I live in Wellesley with my wife and children and serve on Wellesley's Town Meeting and as Chair of its Permanent Building Committee. In addition, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, the Board of Trustees of Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, the Board of Advisors of Community Servings, and the National Leadership Council of Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Business Litigation
I can assist you and your business in resolving disputes and litigation on matters ranging from breach of contract to restrictive covenants to commercial torts. Whether an issue has arisen with a vendor, customer, competitor, or government regulator, these disputes are, at a minimum, a distraction from your work and can threaten your continued success. My aim is to help you find cost-effective means of achieving your business goals.
Employment
Your employees are the lifeblood of your business. I can help you create a healthy and productive workplace environment through appropriate policies, procedures, and training that provides practical and genuinely useful information about workplace laws, rules, and expectations. When employment issues nevertheless inevitably arise, I will zealously represent your interests in negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, administrative proceedings, and litigation.
Investigations
When your business faces allegations of misconduct, whether true or false and whether from an internal or external source, you need a rigorous, impartial accounting of the facts. Throughout my career, clients of all sizes and configurations have depended on me to find the truth, to present it directly, and to guide them through the consequences.
Specifically with regard to workplace investigations, as a Certificate Holder of the Association of Workplace Investigators, I have been trained to provide a fair and impartial process to reach reasoned findings based on information gathered to determine whether there has been a violation of your policies, standards, ethics, or the law.
Business Partner Disputes
Some relationships do not work out. When those relationships are among business partners, the consequences for the business can be dire. Whether you are facing internal organizational conflict or a full "business divorce," I can help you understand your rights and responsibilities, and I can navigate you through the steps necessary to either improve the relationship or to end it (through negotiation or litigation, as the situation requires).
